Vertical Shaft Impactor

ATHOX Vertical Shaft Impactor (VSI) are designed for crushing a wide range of materials such as rock, ores, minerals, among others, transforming them into a finer, cubic-shaped product. It produces high-quality cubical end products and is ideal for the last crushing. The machine works as a centrifugal pump, where the material enters the center of the rotor and is thrown against the side wall covered with the material itself or steel plates.

The reduction is achieved by the transfer of kinetic energy that takes place inside the rotor where the material to be crushed is accelerated. Material exits the rotor through the side exit ports. The material at high speed reaches the side wall of the carcass and undergoes reduction, being at the same time reached by subsequent material, therefore there is a chain reaction in the crushing chamber between the wall and the rotor. In this action, there is a vortex of material in the crushing chamber, with various reduction modalities such as grinding, impact and shear, which occurs when by reducing the kinetic energy of the material, which then falls by gravity to lower discharge.

VSI main frame manufactured in reinforced structure completely stress relieved and precision machined to perfect mechanical fitting of all mechanisms. The VSI contains a top frame for fast internal chamber access to liners and agile replacement procedures.

Main Bearing cast in carbon steel and fully machined where the main shaft and bearings are mounted, with all the sealing elements and lubrication with grease. Machine bed manufactured of bent and welded structure, reinforced design, precision to receive all assemblies with good accuracy to ensure a perfect operation of all mechanism and long operational lifespan.

Roll Crusher

ATHOX Roll Crushers are used as primary or secondary and are the ideal solution in processes that require the generation of grains of more defined sizes. Its construction is robust and are designed to withstand the most severe working conditions. It also provides excellent uniformity in dry and wet grinding.

Its adjustment and maintenance is simple and quick, it has a system of distribution of the individual driving force in the rollers through drive belts that allows the absorption of eventual shocks, in addition it includes a system against non-crushable materials through helical springs.

The equipment can also be supplied with the following roll configurations: smooth rollers, corrugated rollers and toothed rollers. The configuration of the equipment depends on the size of the feed material and the working opening of the equipment. The material is crushed by compression and shear, where the crushing rollers are individually rotated in opposite directions by means of electric motors and belt.
